
Improving Your Self Image

Introduction:
In our subconscious mind we hold an image of ourselves and we can never outperform this image. This image controls the way we walk, talk, and meet and greet other people. The image that we hold on the inside always shows on the outside.
See, most people are extras in their own movie. You want to be the star of your movie.
I encourage you to read Psycho-Cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell Maltz. I don’t know of a better book for helping you understand and change your self-image. Once you get a handle on how to change how you see yourself, teach it to your children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren. It will change the course of their lives forever. And remember… You are unique. You are not like anyone else on the planet. And you’re not supposed to be. When you understand the concepts of self-image, cybernetics and paradigms, you and your children can stop living how other people think you should live.
With that said, here is the step by step process that my mentor Bob Proctor taught me on how to change your self image
1. Write out a description in the present tense of the person you want to become.
Your self image is a part of your paradigm which is in your subconscious mind. Now the subconscious mind is very different from the conscious mind because it can't tell what is real and what is imaged. If you tell yourself a lie over and over again you'll eventually start to believe that it's the truth. You want to start by writing out a description (in the present tense) of the person you want to become. And don't be vague with this. Go in to detail. How does this version of you dress, walk, talk, act? Are they a procrastinator or a decision maker? Take your time writing this and think of the traits that you want to have and include them in your self image script
2. Write yourself image script out every morning
The way to change your subconscious programming and your self image is through the same way it was created, constant spaced repetition. The beliefs that you hold of yourself are not there by accident or luck. They are their because you put them there by telling yourself "I'm not good enough" over and over again or because when you were a child the people around you impressed these beliefs upon your subconscious mind. It's time to get rid of them negative beliefs that have been holding you back. Write out your self image script every morning. Now at first you might not believe what you are writing is the truth about yourself but over time you will start to notice that the more you write it, the more you believe it.
3. Close your eyes and visualise yourself for 5 minutes a day already being the person in your Self Image script.
We create our outer world through our imagination. The subconscious mind cannot tell what is real and what is imagined so by visualising yourself already as this person you bring it in to reality.
4. Record your Self Image script and listen to it for 10 minutes a day
I have been doing this because my mentor Bob Proctor encouraged me to and it's been a game changer for me. Hearing my own voice say these powerful statements is making me believe that I am now that person that I want to be. Just like Bob encouraged me, I encourage you to do the same thing.
Do as I have suggested above for 30 days. If you do this I promise you, you will be shocked at the results that you get.
